Being Sick Sucks!!

I know my last blog was just slightly depressing, but I'm feeling better now! Considering I haven't gone to school since Monday. But, two of those days were storm days. I've been sick since Tuesday, I expect I got that flu/cold everyone at school has. It sucks, and right now, I'm really shakey, so I'm typing slow. And it's really making me fusturated!! Frig. I hate being sick.

I watched the last hour and a half of Titanic last night, and it was so sad. I can't believe 1500 people went into the water, and they only saved 6!! I had no clue the water could freeze you so fast. The Atlantic is so dangerous, especially here in the Bay of Fundy. At the Fraser Beach, the beach near my house, I go swimming there sometimes in the summer. There's a little cove, so we can swim there. But my dad warned Jesse and I not to go out very far, because the tide was coming in, and if we got caught in the undertow and get swept away (There's an island across from the beach, and the water comes through that passage). It just scares me that we can die that easily.
And it scares me how people can be so arrogant. On the movie, they thought the ship was unsinkable, so they didn't bother with all the lifeboats, they thought they looked bad. And looked what happened. Over 1500 people died. Some didn't even get off the boat. They thought they knew everything, and that such a boat could never be sunk. They were so cocky. That's one of the things that upsets me most.

Urgh, being sick really sucks. I've been getting horrible hot flases, headaches, the shakes, stuffed up nose, sore throat, stress pains in my chest, stomach pains, you name it, I probably have it. And Jenn wanted me to work for her tomorrow! She wanted me to work Valentine's Day, but I told her I was really sick, and I think she got mad. When she called today, she sounded like her usual peppy, cheery self.
Which reminds me, I have to call her. I want to switch my Feb. 24th shift with her March 3rd shift so I can go to the rink with my grandmother (her work is putting on a party type thing for the employees and their family), and go to Kate Bryant's sweet 16 party. No worries though, I won't drink! I've already promised a bunch of people I wouldn't. I don't like the taste of alcohol anyways, it's disgusting.
