Just when I thought things were starting to suck, everything got better again.
Last weekend, the guy I like and I started talking again, after going almost a month and a half with hardly talking at all. This almost killed me, because I missed him so much. We started talking to each other at school again (we usually talk over Facebook), and him starting the conversations meant a lot to me.
Friday, we had no school, so on Thursday night, we all headed over to Deer Island to our friend Gabe's house. Max and Blake picked Jeremy, Justine and I up at the ferry landing, and we drove around a little. Driving with Max is amazingly fun, if you like to go fast. I loved it. There's nothing like driving through extremely rural roads, extremely fast like we did. The sun was shining, I was in a perfect mood, laughing a lot.
School was let out at 9:30 that morning, because the water was messed up, and the only time I got to see the aforementioned guy was on the way down the stairs, he waved to me. I was disappointed, because I would have to wait to Monday to see him again. Then when I walked into the livingroom at Gabe's, he was there. We hung out a little before he left, and we talked about Great Big Sea, who are one of my greatest musical loves, so I thought it was awesome that he liked them too. And I even got a goodbye hug before he left.
That night was great, I drank some, and got a buzz on. I'll admit it right now: I have the alcohol tolerance of a rabbit. But I don't mind. Honestly. The night was great, even though I slept in a totally uncomfortable armchair. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much. It felt great.
The next morning, I was laying in bed with Jeremy and Justine, with the sunlight shining in, and a blue sky outside. Shawn and Heather came up to lay with us. I don't really know how we did it, but we fit five people in that bed for a couple of hours. We just layed there and hung out.
After a few hours, and after Heather, Shawn and Hillary had left to go back to the mainland, 6 of us went for a First Day of Spring walk/photoshoot. The girls were much more into than the guys, of course. But I had an amazing time with two of my favorite girls. We took pictures on the beach at Andrew's, and got to sit on the warm sand.
For supper, Joel took me, Sarah, Jeremy and Justine down to the Fisherman's Cafe. I love going to the restaurants on Deer Island, because I always see people I know, and the food is excellent. While we were waiting for our food, Goin' Up by Great Big Sea was playing, and Sarah and I talked about how it reminded us of Zach.
We caught the 7 o'clock ferry back across to the mainland, and Joel dropped me off at my house before he took everyone else home. I was happy, because I had had so much fun. Evenings, nights and days like that make me love life, and my friends. I came home feeling full, and so happy. I can't think of another way I would ever want to spend the last night of Winter and the first day of Spring than like this.

yay for things going well! :]
