Ok, so I've been thinking, about how much I've changed in just a year. So here's a list of things I could think of that are different:
-Last year, my hair was to my butt, now, the shortest layer is above my shoulders
-My hair style is TOTALLY different, I look like a different person
-I know have a job
-I couldn't have spoken to people as easily last year
-This year, I'm hanging out with a totally different crowd (sort of)
-I have way more friends from away who mean the world to me
-My insomnia's worse (I had to include that)
-My dad is drinking less
-I've gone to my first drinking party
-I'm not as uneducated about the real world now
-My style has completely changed, I shop at way different stores now
-My taste in music: better now than ever
-Last year, I used to be afraid to tell people I'm Christian, in fear of what they'd think, now, I'll yell it out to my class, and everyone of them would think I'm weird, but I don't care
-I can stand up for myself better now
-I now have 8 rabbits and 3 cats, whereas last year, I had one cat and a dog
-I can understand math better now!
Just... oh my gosh, I'm so much different than a year ago. At times, I think I'm more wordly, but at others, I feel closer to God than ever. I look different, I feel differnt, I act different, I think differently. Some one who knew me last year wouldn't know me now.
That was one reason why I didn't hang out with my old best friend Courtney as much at the beginning of the year. I was too "preppy" for her. Yes, I shop at American Eagle and all those "preppy" stores now.
Last year, I knew so little about the real world, and was appalled when people told me the stuff they'd done at parties and all that, now I'm just like, "well, that was to be expected." But, like Katherine told me, I shouldn't accept facts like that. Somehow, I still don't, but I expect it.
I honestly can't believe how much has changed. In my mind, this was supposed to be a much better post, but only having 2 hours of sleep, and having been awake for 13 hours has turned my mind to mush. But at least it's a new post, and I hope I didn't confuse you too much.
Love,
Melissa Kendra <3<3
